The wedding budget is a topic that couples and families typically like to stay away from... probably because the debate on who pays for what can cause some heated discussion. While this topic might turn up the heat, setting your budget is the very first thing you should do before you jump head first into planning. Your budget will determine where you put your money and how much is being contributed to each element (Venue, Food, Dress, Flowers, Cake, etc).
Below we have included our budget priority activity, straight from our client welcome guide. We give this sheet to all the couples that work with us to help them determine the most important things for their wedding day. While each couple is unique, some of the common priorities listed are venue, food, and entertainment.
Each couple should individually complete this list. Once your priorities are set, focus on booking these first. The bigger the priority, the more money you're willing to spend on it.
Once you both have completed this list and discussed why you rated these items on your top three, you can begin the planning and booking process! But remember... no matter your budget, you can have your dream wedding so long as you prioritize!
