Simple Elegance - A Modern Romance Meets the Old World
The Mason was constructed in 1920 in Oak Cliff, Texas and served as Masonic Lodge #705 for many years. Nearly 100 years later, The Mason was carefully restored and has become one of Dallas' newest wedding venues.
Morgan Cherney, Owner and Lead Wedding Planner of Southern Enchantments grew up surrounded by a family with a love and appreciation for the past. In fact, her grandmother lived in a house built in the late 1800's, which has served as one of the many reasons why Morgan developed her love for architecture, history, and antiques. This alone became the inspiration for this shoot and for no wonder; The Mason offers many of these very qualities.
The venue radiates a natural elegance with a blend of the old and new. Morgan, as well as Alexandra Turner, Owner and Lead Floral Designer of Vella Nest Floral, carefully and methodically stayed true to a minimalistic design. The purpose behind this was to magnify the venue's natural beauty, not take away from it. With the thoughtful design, beautifully curated florals, as well as a team full of amazing vendors, they couldn't be happier to showcase a beautiful part of Dallas' history.
